Rules For a Gunfight: 1. ?Bring a gun.
2. ?Bring all your friends who have guns.
This is only tangentially related, but: ?Gang members apparently can?t do maths.
In a strange story out of Oklahoma, a warning went out earlier this week to all military personnel warning that the Crips, a nationwide gang of criminals originally founded in Los Angeles, were targeting any American servicemember they saw in uniform. ?Why?
Well, I?m going to let a little cat out of the bag. ?We?re not all paragons of moral virtue in the armed services. ?Far from it, in fact. ?We?ve got our bad apples, just like the rest of society, and some local soldiers got caught up in some bad, bad stuff. ?Apparently, these warriors got bored and bought some drugs from the Crips ? or rather, what they thought were drugs. ?When the soldiers got back to their barracks, they found they?d been sold a bunch of bunk. ?And they were not happy about it.
Without even getting into my feelings about the soldiers (dirty ratfucking shitbags) this was, I would say, a fairly unwise decision on the part of the Crips. ?If I were a drug dealer, and some of my clientele were people who trained day in and day out to kill other people, I would probably sell them real drugs, and also be really nice to them. ?But that?s just me.
At any rate, the dirty, ratfucking?excuse me, the soldiers (ahem) went back to the house where they bought the fake drugs, robbed and shot the gang members that cheated them, then fled the scene. ?Shortly thereafter, the Crips made their second unwise decision: ?According to police, they put the word out to all of their affiliates to shoot any soldiers on sight. ?And in doing so, almost picked a fight with the biggest gang in American history.
So I don?t know if one of the local Crips with a shred of sense in his grape realized that they were about to go toe-to-toe with 500,000 men and women with M16s, or if this was all a big false alarm to begin with. ?But if the Crips really think they?ve got what it takes, you know , something that?these guys, these guys, these guys, these guys, these guys?and these guys (I could go on) didn?t have, then by all means. ?Have away, gangbangers.
A little secret between you and me, though? ?I don?t think they?ll do it.
By the way, I don?t know what happened to the dishonorable, wretched little scabs who were buying drugs, robbing and shooting civilians, but it probably won?t be pretty.
